To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
If a viable eligible list does not exist, a provisional appointment may be made in accordance with Civil Service Law. Candidates who accept a provisional appointment must take the next competitive examination and be reachable on the resultant eligible list in order to be considered for permanent appointment to the position.
There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this examination.
Duties will include but not limited to the following:
Provide clerical support with daily Residency office tasks under the direction of the Transportation Office Assistant 2 (TOA 2).
Assist the TOA 2 with the purchasing process for the Residency.
Order and maintain supplies for the Residency.
Utilize specific applications such as HRIS, TRINFO, MMS, LATS and Microsoft programs including Word and Excel.
Assist in maintaining the Residency records/database/rosters relating to personnel, training requirements, certification requirements, evaluations and purchasing.
Other duties typically assigned to an Office Assistant 1 may be included with the incumbent’s tasks.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
