Duties Description
The incumbent will be assigned responsibility for one or more units of the Contract Management Bureau including potentially supervision and training of administrative and/or clerical staff.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Selection of professional firms to provide the Department with consulting engineering services.
Negotiating the cost aspects of engineering services contracts.
Acquisition of non-engineering professional services.
Oversight of civil rights activities related to consultant contracts.
Acquisition of construction contracts.
Processing of local and miscellaneous agreements.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
