
TEACHERS RETIREMENT SYSTEM
We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented professional to lead QA and UAT testing for TRS’ complex initiatives under the direction of the Testing Manager. The ideal candidate will analyze business requirements and technical specifications, collaborating with all levels of TRS staff to gather and confirm requirements. You will develop test documentation and oversee test execution. The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the testing process and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and perform functional testing during QA and UAT cycles to ensure thorough coverage of project requirements and effectively address any issues.
– Develop testing strategies for complex legacy systems and modernization initiatives.
– Develop test plans that outline the scope, responsibilities, schedule, and requirements to guarantee complete testing coverage.
– Develop test cases based on business scenarios, requirements, and user stories, ensuring all necessary conditions are included to validate requirements.
– Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including business representatives, project managers, developers, solution architects, operational help desk staff, business analysts, and procedure writers.
– Create and maintain test documentation and status reports following best practice guidelines for standardized artifacts.
– Identify, document, and track issues and defects.
Minimum Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university including or supplemented by 12 credits in mathematics, statistics, accounting, and/or actuarial science and four years of satisfactory full-time experience implementing the provisions of a retirement plan involving the use of mathematical, statistical, actuarial or accounting computations, 18 months of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity or supervising professionals implementing the provisions of a retirement plan involving the use of mathematical, statistical, actuarial or accounting computations; or
2. An associate degree or 60 credits from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by 12 credits in mathematics, statistics, accounting and/or actuarial science and six years of satisfactory full-time experience as indicated in “1”; or
3. Education and/or experience equivalent to “1” or “2” above. However, all candidates must have 60 credits from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by 12 credits in mathematics, statistics, accounting and/or actuarial science and the 18 months of experience in a supervisory, administrative, managerial or executive capacity as described in “1” above.
Preferred Skills
– Minimum of five years of experience demonstrating strong knowledge of the software certification process within the System Delivery Life Cycle, covering requirements analysis, test planning, test execution, and implementation. – Experience with project management, query writing, web application testing, UAT/ASPEN/Mendix integration testing, Interactive Voice Recognition setup requirements and testing. – Knowledge of Software Testing, Testing Techniques, Test Tools and Test script execution. – Knowledge of preparing Test Documentation (i.e. Test Plan, Test Case Matrix, Test Summary Reports). – Knowledge and experience in Test Planning and Estimation. – Knowledge of identifying and tracking defects using Test Management Tools. – Knowledge of Retirement/Pension Processing. – Broad-based knowledge of computer software, hardware, platforms, networks, and web programming techniques.
