THESE POSTIONS ARE TEMPORATY FOR 6 MONTHS. HOURLY SALARY – $30.00 The Healthy Homes Unit, reporting to the Vice President of Healthy Homes and the General Manager, oversees operationalizing environmental hazard compliance efforts. The Office of Mold Assessment and Remediation is responsible for managing mold assessment and remediation contracts, ventilation modernization contracts, performance management, providing quality assurance and providing technical assistance to support Public Housing Operations for mold remediation at NYCHA. Under general supervision, supervises workers performing common laboring work or assisting in routine maintenance and repair work; performs related work. Specific duties shall include, but not be limited to the following: 1. Supervise workers performing routine maintenance and minor repair work. 2. Instruct workers in the use of tools and equipment. 3. Lay out work; instructs workers in methods to be used. 4. Enforce agency regulations regarding safe practices. 5. Keep records and prepares reports showing work performed, materials used, labor employed and time involved. Minimum Qual Requirements:
1. Four years of recent full-time satisfactory experience as a construction laborer or in the construction, maintenance or repair of sewers, streets, highways or water supply systems, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or 2. A satisfactory equivalent.
