70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service allocated to a Grade 11 or higher eligible for transfer and determined to be similar by Civil Service.

55 B/C QUALIFICATIONS:
Individuals certified eligible for the 55 B/C program under the Governor’s Program to Hire Persons/Veterans with Disabilities pursuant to Section 55 B/C of the Civil Service Law will also be considered. Please provide a copy of your letter of eligibility with your response.
You must meet the open competitive qualifications from the most recent examination announcement. The open competitive minimum qualifications are: On or before January 7, 2017, you must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a G-5 or higher clerical, secretarial, keyboarding or paraprofessional** title set in an office environment. Qualifying titles are available at: www.cs.ny.gov/examannouncements/announcements/00340titles.cfm. † Only the title(s) listed is qualifying for this examination(s).
**Only paraprofessional titles in an office environment will be considered qualifying. Service in a direct care title is not qualifying experience. Examples of non-qualifying titles are: Developmental Disabilities Secure Care Treatment Aide 1; Direct Support Assistant; Food Service Worker 1; Licensed Practical Nurse; Mental Health Therapy Aide; and Security Services Assistant.
If you were permanently appointed to a qualifying title on or before October 7, 2016, and have served continuously in this title since that date, you are eligible to file for this examination.
The Program Aide duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Process all voucher payments (spreadsheet bulkload) for Licensing Examiners, Use of Space, County Clerk/Notary, refunds, and Codes Board Members from program area receipt through payment data recording. Includes revenue system entry for refund payments.
Stop payment processing for DOS checks not properly received by recipients.
Supervise clerical staff of data entry and recording functions for all DOS revenue disciplines.
Reconcile Licensing deposits and assist with data entry of Licensing and Corporations transactions.
Administration of DOS vehicles. Track, surplus, collect and audit monthly vehicle reports from DOS program staff for annual personal miles reporting. Review and forward vehicle related invoices (WEX, NYS Thruway Authority) for payment. Communicate with DOS program staff, supervisors, and managers for all vehicle related information including scheduling, maintenance, accident reporting, mileage and all other required reporting.
Coordinate with Revenue Unit supervisors as needed for required revenue reporting and entry.
