Job Description
The Safeguards unit is responsible for providing members with information about earning limitations in addition to other restrictions when seeking re-employment after retiring and monitoring the earnings of retirees who are working for the city/state. Under the direction of the Director of Safeguards, this candidate will be responsible for performing work as described below. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Prepare cost of living adjustment letters for newly eligible retirees and check the appropriate application of the increase against the Pension Payroll Management System (PPMS);
Process and assist with filing Employment Certification RSSL 212 forms;
Processes and assists with filing Financial Disclosure forms and suspends and reinstates pension checks of retirees who fail to respond timely to Financial Disclosure guidelines;
Responds to in-person and written inquiries accurately in a courteous and prompt manner;
Follow up with members for missing paperwork;
Prepare documents for filing and imaging;
Works on special projects as designated by supervisor of unit.

Candidates must be permanent or on a viable civil service list in the Clerical Aide title to be considered for this position.
Salary: If you possess the preferred skills above, consideration will be given to offer you a maximum annual salary of no more than $44,872. The salary is non-negotiable.

NOTE: This is a full-time on-site position. The incumbent will be required to report to the office on a regular basis.
