Duties Description
The successful candidate will perform desk audit and onsite inspections to review for regulatory compliance; communicate with facility staff, residents, and families regarding the focus of the inspection; assist in the drafting of the relevant inspection report; and perform any necessary follow-up activities as consistent with programmatic operation; Receive and review facility-drafted policies and procedures, plans of correction, and resident agreements, for regulatory compliance, communicate with the submitter as required to ensure the submission is complete, then recommend appropriate determinations to the program manager and, after the determination is made, ensure that the relevant documentation is updated in the appropriate portal as consistent with programmatic operation. The incumbent will represent the Central New York Regional Office program team on the quarterly quality assurance committee to review program policies and procedures, develop guidance and education, and sample produced material to ensure consistent application of quality standards; assist in the development and tracking of performance metrics to balance quantity with quality; and make reasonable recommendations for ongoing improvements. Finally, the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned and as part of a cohesive unit, will receive ad hoc assignments appropriate to title, associated instructions and training if needed, and perform the assigned tasks consistent with associated expectations.

This position will at times require long distance and overnight travel not served by public transportation and proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Permanent or Provisional pending exam.
