Duties Description
The Health Program Administrator (HPA) positions will work in the Division of Vaccine Excellence, Bureau of Vaccine Programs which oversees the Vaccines for Children (VFC) and Vaccines for Adults (VFA) Programs.
One position will be assigned to the Vaccine Ordering and Technical Assistance lead with duties related primarily to utilizing the Vaccine Tracking System (VTrckS) to ensure programmatic accountability of vaccine orders, including ensuring vaccine orders are placed in VTrckS daily, monitoring and estimating provider needs (monthly), coordinate data entry of vaccines returns and/or wastage, providing technical assistance to providers, and reconciling vaccine shipping issues.
One position will be assigned to the Program Compliance, Training, and Education Unit, which ensures compliance with requirements related to the VFC and VFA program. This position will provide training and technical assistance to regional field staff and providers on program requirements, develop and update provider guidance, forms, training materials and job aids and prepare periodic narrative summary reports.
Both positions will use multiple information systems including the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS), Provider Assessment Education and Reporting (PEAR) and VTrckS to review provider immunization status and activities, and are responsible for regular and ad hoc quantitative and narrative reports.

Occasional travel within New York State, including overnights and to locations that may not be served by public transportation, may be required.
Contingent-Permanent, competitive, full-time. Two year traineeship leading to a G18. Transfer candidates may be asked for SSN to verify title history and eligibility.
