Duties Description
Looking for a fun and fulfilling education role in the Adirondacks this summer? Play an active part in educating the public on safe and sustainable recreation through face-to-face tabling and capture pertinent data through public surveying at multiple locations in the High Peaks Region. Educators will participate in a one-day Leave No Trace (LNT) Awareness Workshop, receive extensive training in safety and preparedness, learn how to navigate pairing hikers with an appropriate experience, and gain valuable knowledge on the local area before tabling begins.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable talking with people and have previous knowledge of the High Peaks and local area.
Additional Comments
Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Weekends and holidays may be required.
This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 10/10/2023. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
