Major Responsibilities
– Reporting to the Chief of Strategic Partnerships, with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, support the Chief of Strategic Partnerships and Director of Partner Engagement’s work to implement NYC Parks Citywide Parks Network and a portfolio of licensed non-profit partners, park advocacy groups and private organizations.
– Support the Chief of Strategic Partnerships in convening the Citywide Parks Network (CPN) Working Group meetings, to solidify the launch and implementation of this strategic initiative to help support park partners and their work with the City.
– Help prepare annual reports, as required by local law, on licensed non-profit partner activities.
– Track Parks participation on non-profit boards and coordinate meeting preparation and follow-up for the Commissioner and First Deputy Commissioner.
– Oversee non-profit partner compliance with license agreements, provide clear reporting structures and ensure the Agency’s partnership policies are communicated and adhered to.
– Serve as a resource to licensed nonprofit partners, helping them interact with various divisions across the Agency to improve the parks they support.
– Support external requests for accessibility resources and direct to appropriate Parks divisions to address/respond or ensure Parks’ website achieves similar.
– Oversee interns in the execution of in park customer service interviews/surveys to supplement 311 surveys, agency public input sessions, and our attendance at monthly Community Board meetings and Community Precinct Councils.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to “1” or “2” above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in “1” above.
Preferred Skills
1. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. 2. Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines. 3. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. 4. A valid New York State driver license.

Residency Requirement
Residency in New York City, Nassau, Orange, Rockland, Suffolk, Putnam or Westchester counties required for employees with over two years of city service. New York City residency required within 90 days of hire for all other candidates.
