City of Stamford: Recreation Department
POSITION: The City of Stamford: Recreation Services is currently looking for experienced SWIM INSTRUCTORS to help teach our Swim lessons at Westhill High School. we offer growth, and a competitive rate. If you know all 4 swim strokes and are open to learning, SWIM INSTRUCTOR AIDE positions are available as well.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Minimum requirements:
1. Water Safety Instructor Certificate from the red cross preferred but not required.Possess current certification in Lifeguarding (American Red Cross or YMCA), and First Aid, CPR, and AED for our Swim Instructor position. No certifications required for the Aide position.
2. Ability to follow instructions and work with minimum supervision in a responsible and competent manner; to readily accept direction from those in a supervisory capacity; ability to accept constructive feedback; ability to project good public relations.
*Must demonstrate maturity, be at least 16 years old.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
4 hour shift
After school
Night shift
No weekends
